KARAT CHOCOLATE WAS FOUNDED IN 2016 BY CHEF AND CHOCOLATIER “JULIAN HELMAN” WITH THE GOAL TO “CREATE BEAUTIFUL CHOCOLATES USING THE BEST POSSIBLE INGREDIENTS”

SINCE ITS CONCEPTION THE COMPANY HAS BEEN AWARDED OVER 35 INTERNATIONAL CHOCOLATE AWARDS FOR VARIOUS ITEMS.

KARAT IS A PROUD FAMILY OWNED SMALL BUSINESS THAT EMPLOYS A SMALL TEAM OF PROFESSIONALS DEDICATED TO SERVING THE “BEST” “INNOVATIVE” AND '“FRESHEST” BEVERAGES AND TREATS.

MEET JULIAN

Chef Julian uses his vast years of experience and training from both savory and sweet perspectives to conceptualize and craft “unique”, award winning chocolates and pastries using local ingredients.

Chef Helman is a proud Canadian. Chef Helman was formally trained at the culinary institute of Canada, The “l’ecole valrhona” In T’ain lhermitage France, The “French pastry school” in chicago.

Chef Helman a second generation chef has worked in many establishments across Canada including Hotels, wineries, Bakeries and restaurants. Julian Has also held various pastry positions in famed Michelin star kitchens in Europe and Asia including the famed “pierre Gagnaire” and “bo innovation”
